Overview
With time, comes improvement and DoorLoop has released a quality-of-life upgrade that improves the functionality of the navigation bar and now places all relative settings on it as well.
How to Use the Navigation Menu
Main navigation menu
The navigation bar is where you can access all the different parts of DoorLoop. The top portion will give you access to your properties, leases, people, accounting, and communications. The bottom portion is to access your main settings.
Tip: If you complete the Getting Started section, it will disappear from the main menu. You can find it again under Help.
Collapsable menu
However, when you click one of the category buttons, you'll notice that the menu now collapses and brings up a new submenu whereas the old version would only bring up a new menu. To go back to the main menu, click the title of the menu you are in.
The new navigation bar makes it quicker to go back to a main menu and click a category to open up the submenu associated with that.
Tooltips
If you're not sure about what one of the main menu icons is, you can hover over it for a second and a tooltip will popup with the name of that section.
Notes and Files
You should also notice two brand new sections on the main menu - Notes and Files. Whereas before, all Notes and Files were only viewable in the specific properties, tenants, tasks, etc where they were created. Now all your Notes and Files are collected into one easy-to-search area regardless of where they were created.
Top Menu Bar
The top menu bar is for quickly accessing the Global Search feature, your notifications, and managing your profile. You can also use the question mark icon access our Knowledge Base articles, DoorLoop University, and the Forms & Templates section.
And that's it! Hopefully, these quality-of-life changes will make navigating DoorLoop much easier for you and time-saving!
